Mignolet to Liverpool?

There are claims that Liverpool are close to completing a deal for Sunderland shot stopper Simon Mignolet!

I personally don't know why Liverpool - a team hoping to play in the Champions League - would want to sign him. He's nowhere near up to the standard of Pepe Regina which could mean he's on his way to Barcelona!

I'm under no illusions that he's a good player but I don't rate him too highly, maybe its because I'm a Newcastle fan!
